Backyard Stream Team - A volunteer citizen group that promotes citizen stewardship in Walla Walla for the purposes of stream and riparian habitat protection and restoration.
Blue Mountain Audubon - Serves its membership and its community in the goals to appreciate, preserve, and enjoy birds and wildlife and the natural environment in the local area, and beyond.
Kooskooskie Commons -A nonprofit, member-supported cultural and ecological education organization.
Salmon Recovery Funding Board - The Board supports salmon recovery by funding habitat protection and restoration projects. It also supports related programs and activities that produce sustainable and measurable benefits for fish and their habitat.
Tri-State Steelheaders - An organization based in Walla Walla, aimed at preserving and restoring aquatic and riparian habitats in the Washington-Idaho-Oregon intersection. (No website, but they can be contacted at: P.O. Box 1375 Walla Walla, Wa. 99362)
Walla Walla Basin Watershed Council - The mission of the Walla Walla Basin Watershed Council is to protect the resources of the Walla Walla Watershed, deal with issues in advance of resource degradation, and enhance the overall health of the watershed, while also protecting, as far as possible, the welfare, customs, and cultures of all citizens residing in the basin.
Walla Walla Watershed Planning - Watershed planning is a cooperative effort between community members including landowners, local governments, conservation groups, tribes, state and federal agencies, and many other entities that are coordinating together to develop local solutions to regional water issues
Native Plant Society (Walla Walla) - A sub chapter of the Columbia Basin Chapter & they maintain a website. The two chief goals of the WNPS for protecting wildflowers is protecting habitat via providing habitat, rather than development, and via reducing invasive weeds to protect habitat.

American Farmland Trust - AFT works to stop the loss of productive farmland and to promote sustainable farming practices that lead to a healthy environment
The Trust For Public Land - A national non-profit organization that helps communities protect land.
Equity Trust - The mission of Equity Trust is to promote equity in the world by changing the way people think about and hold property.
Nature Conservancy - The Nature Conservancy is a leading international, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the diversity of life on Earth.
Inland Northwest Landtrust - Inland Northwest Land Trust works with willing private landowners to preserve and protect the natural lands, waters, and working farms and forests of the Inland Northwest.
Columbia Land Trust - A private, non-profit organization, was founded in 1990. We're dedicated to conserving signature landscapes and vital habitat together with the communities of the Columbia River region.
Wallowa Land Trust - The mission of the Wallowa Land Trust is to protect the rural nature of the Wallowa Valley and surrounding areas by working cooperatively with private landowners, Indian tribes and local communities.
